Abstract

The project aims to propose a foresight design of emergency care service mode to help the health management and care of senior people with potential of suffering from cardiovascular disease. The proposed ECG aware clothing is planned to enable that patient with cardiovascular disease, caregivers and medical professionals are able to monitor patient’s heart status in real time and to provide healthcare in anytime and anyplace. It seems to be an opportunity solving the faced problem of aging society and the increasing needs of psychotherapy. The proposed service mode is designed in three stages. In the first stage, the valuable and potential issues of ECG medical devices and mobile application will be scrutinized by methods of PEST and MEDS in the IPDD model. Furthermore, based on the issues for reasonable engineering solutions, ECG aware clothing encompasses an ECG acquisition system, real time ECG data collection and analysis and the design of ECG clothing will be developed and integrated into an innovative service model for providing the care supports for the public.
