Abstract

needs are clearly defined. From the previous clinical cases, it shows that inefficiency of health care provided by medical service, and damages by medical errors lead to inevitable social problems. Therefore, this study presents a two-year research proposal. In the first year, this study aims to build a living lab collaboration system. This system is designed for medical device development with the collaboration of user, clinical researcher and developer. This system has three main features: (1) it quantizes the user satisfaction degree; (2) it provides risk analysis tools to evaluate the misapplication errors when using medical device; (3) it gives feedbacks to developers according to the experience of user and the analyzed result of researcher. In the second year, this study focuses on the integration of the living lab system into real world environment. This system will be implemented into Taoyuan Chang Gung hospital. A medical rehabilitation device will be developed with the collaboration of clinical rehabilitation professionals. We expected that; (1) the satisfaction degree of patients will increase; (2) the misapplication errors will reduce; (3) the feedback from system will increase the functionality and the design of the rehabilitation device.
