隨著這項研究的成功，我們會更佳地了解台灣腸道微生物菌叢以及該微生物菌叢在應對免疫檢查點抑製劑中的作用。這項研究對於接受免疫檢查點抑製劑的癌症患者，提供益生菌補充劑或糞便移植以增強全身和抗腫瘤免疫反應的未來發展，提供理論基礎。
