Abstract

Design is one of the important capabilities of enterprise transformation from OEM to ODM/OBM and success. It is important to educate the excellent designer for the industry. The main pedagogy of design education is studio that emphasis the “learning by doing”. Undergraduate industrial design students need to do lots of tasks through the design process. They experienced a lots of learning problems that may cause the learning stress. The previous study found most of students regarded that the learning problems were caused by personal issues. The results illustrated that undergraduate industrial design students seem have no confidence on their design abilities. The purpose of this study is to investigate the learning stress and learning behavior confidence of undergraduate industrial design students in design studio courses. And explore the relationship between the learning stress and academic behavior confidence. The results of this study can deepen the understanding of the learning process of students and provide a reference for teaching planning and the setting of the learning resources in design education.
