研究成果預期將可證實新型「擴張」動態髖骨螺釘應用於治療骨鬆性股骨轉子間不穩定骨折的穩定性，進而提高此類手術成功率。對於參與研究人員亦可獲得訓練效果，提升學術研究能力，預期將有助於相關骨科固定器研發及產學發展。研究領域與國內積極發展之醫療器材工業相契合。
