Abstract

Subordinating to the capital project, this sub-project, Development and Test of Multi-function Stimulation Modules Integrated on Bio-Sphere, is aimed to develop light and magnetic stimulation components, and integrated on behavior testing bio-sphere for insect that is applied to Drosophila and Bee experiments. According to the needs for research, the stimulation components are designed, fabricated and installed on the design module for three-dimensional behavioral experiments. Controlling the function and parameters of the stimulation components and number of insects experiments, one can research the mini-animal insect behavior in three dimensions. This is a novel concept with multiple environmental stimuli for elevating the level of biological research. In the first year, magnetic stimulation components are developed and tested to Drosophila. In the second year, light stimulation components are developed and tested to Drosophila. In the third year, Bee behavioral experiments will be conducted.
