Abstract

由於高性能高分子 (high performance polymers)材料在高科技工業之應用俱備了雄厚的潛力,這類型材料的研發已相當受重視。然而,目前對高性能高分子材料摻合 (blending)的系統式研究仍然很缺乏。本計劃將針對 poly(butyleneterephthalate) (PBT)工程塑膠與 poly(ether imide) (PEI) 高性能高分子之摻合進行深入的探討。研究重點涵蓋 PBT/PEI 摻合體之結構(相行為,結晶行為,結晶形態學等)及性質(熱性質與機械性質)兩方面,除了可建立該摻合體之結構-性質關聯性(structure-property relationship),並可發掘摻合所能提供的性質改良。除了 PBT/PEI 系外,本計劃亦將繼續發掘新的而且相容的(miscible)高性能高分子摻合體,相容的組合將從 poly(aryl ether ketones),polyimides, polysulfones, poly(phenylene sulfide), aromatic polyesters,polyarylates 等高性能高分子及工程塑膠中來尋找。本計劃實行的主要目的為二: (1)發展具相容性的高性能高分子摻合體,並探討摻合體所能提供的性質改良,以拓展高性能高分子的應用空間; (2)深入研究 PBT/PEI 摻合體之結構-性質關聯性,以做為該系統性質控制與調整的根據。
