Abstract
Disease due to enterovirus infection is considered as a highly contagious disease and is a
growing public health issue. Up to now, the information of economic burden for enterovirus
infection is relatively lack. There are three objects in this study, First, to estimate the
economic burden of enterovirus infection including direct cost and indirect cost; second, to
evaluate the policy of suspending class to avoid the spread of infection; third, to predict the
effect of enteroviris vaccine. Transmission dynamic models are applied to model the numbers
of susceptible, infectious, and recovered ones, and death. All parameters in the transmission
dynamic model are extracted from National Health Insurance Database and Department of
Statistics, Ministry of Interior.
