社會影響：1. FEES可在社區執行，本研究可提升國家高齡者健康政策的執行成效。2. 發展更精準的吞嚥困難治療流程，可提升吞嚥困難治療的成效，下降國家對吞嚥困難病人的醫療及照護成本。經濟影響：1. FEES較簡便準確，若能評估吞嚥困難原因，吞嚥內視鏡勢必成為吞嚥困難檢查的主流工具，可推動鼻咽內視鏡相關醫療產業發展。2. FEES搭配吸入風險較低的間接吞嚥訓練，有機會讓吞嚥困難的評估與治療在居家執行。可推動相關居家醫療產業的發展。學術影響：1. 建立以FEES評估吞嚥後食物殘留的研究模型，可應用於各種病因吞嚥困難的研究。2. 建立以FEES引導間接吞嚥訓練的方法，可應用於各種病因吞嚥困難治療的相關研究。
