Abstract

本計畫期望能釐清REV-ERB活化劑藉由調控日夜節律基因延緩體重增加及代謝症失調產生的分子機轉。深入了解REV-ERB活化劑對於粒線體功能與脂肪及醣類生成的確切作用將有助於開發嶄新日夜節律基因標靶治療策略,改善長期日夜失衡所引發的低能量代謝、過度脂肪堆積及肥胖等代謝症候群。REV-ERB活化劑的治療可提供給長期從事日夜顛倒工作的族群 (例如:醫護人員、運輸業者、超商夜班人員、工廠輪班人員等) 一個保健身體的對策,以避免日後產生更多嚴重慢性疾病 (例如:糖尿病、高血壓、癌症),長遠可降低社會醫療與經濟的成本。
