Abstract

癲癇症是常見的神經學疾病,有超過三分之一癲癇病患無法得到有效的治療,至今對癲癇的病理生理機轉仍然不清楚。本研究利用代表內側顳葉癲癇及全身性癲癇的動物模型來探討鐵依賴性細胞凋亡在不同癲癇症的致病過程中之角色及其與神經炎症交互作用在癲癇病生理機制中的關聯,並且進一步評估2-丁基辛酸(2-BOA)與大麻二酚(CBD)在調控鐵依賴性細胞凋亡-神經發炎相關分子路徑上的療效。藉由此研究進一步瞭解癲癇的病生理機轉與有助於提供未來研發針對治療癲癇致病機轉為導向的新型治療策略。
