Abstract

口腔癌在台灣每年會導致超過3300名國人的死亡,主因是確診時超過半數病患已為癌症後期,而且治療後容易復發。口腔癌若惡化,例如:淋巴轉移,病患的5年存活率將低於50%,若能瞭解口腔癌惡化機制,就能發展有效的口腔癌診斷與治療方法。我們發現ENAH蛋白可能是口腔癌惡化時的重要分子,為瞭解ENAH運用於口腔癌治療的潛力,此計畫將以體學方式探討ENAH在口腔癌細胞中的功能。初步結果顯示ENAH能促進口腔癌細胞的生長與移行,此計畫成果將是首個瞭解ENAH與口腔癌惡化關係的研究,除開拓癌症生物學新知,更有機會協助未來的口腔癌治療與預後。
