Abstract

嗜中性白血球係體內重要之先天免疫細胞,於抗菌功能中扮演舉足輕重之角色。近年來之研究同時發現此類細胞亦參與了後天免疫之作用,與許多慢性發炎疾病或自體免疫疾病之病因有關。嗜中性白血球之功能部分是由其細胞膜上的受體分子及細胞胞器內之蛋白酶所完成,本計畫之研究重點即為7次穿膜之GPCR分子如何被嗜中性白血球蛋白酶活化之機轉及功能性的探討,此類GPCR受體是極重要之訊息傳遞分子,也是主要之藥物作用標的。本研究計畫之結果可提供了解GPCR分子如何調節嗜中性白血球功能之機制,並提供可能之方向以開發可調控GPCR分子功能之分子,未來將有助於控制嗜中性白血球於相關免疫疾病中之致病機轉。
