Abstract

本研究在於研究腸道病毒建立系統性感染之相關機制,這些病毒其原本感染的部位在腸胃道,而且引發的症狀並不嚴重,然而一旦侵犯人體其它部位如中樞神經系統,則會導致重症發生甚至造成死亡。先前由於缺乏適當的細胞模式,故難以對腸道病原體進行致病機制的研究,但近年來幹細胞的技術有很大進展,建立三維培養極化上皮及腸道類器官的方法,所以我們可以藉以研究病毒在宿主腸道上皮的感染方式暨能增進其擴散能力的因素有那些。本計畫之結果將能裨益我們對相關機制之了解,我們將可以運用得到的結果來協助發展抗病毒之療法。
