Abstract

惡病質的發展在不同的癌症中有所不同。約有42% 新診斷的頭頸癌病患已發生惡病質，有體重減輕、倦怠無力、厭食、貧血、虛弱等症狀。癌症惡病質不但影響癌症病患生活品質，也會降低癌症治療效果及病患存活時間，目前大多是以營養支持為主，尚無專一的分子生物指標或有效的治療藥物。本計畫將探討IFIT2蛋白缺失誘發頭頸癌惡病質的詳細機轉與臨床意義，闡述IFIT2於頭頸癌惡病質發生之角色。此計畫成果可轉譯於頭頸癌惡病質的診斷，預防和治療。
