Abstract

In this proposal, we give a detailed survey in the licensing literature. We indicate that competitors’ R&D potential threat is not considered in the present research. Nevertheless, this phenomenon can be usually seen in the real world. The key issue of this proposal is “If the competitors can do production process R&D by themselves, what is the optimal kind of licensing for the patentee?”. We first bring up a prototype model, then indicate that the subject matter which we are going to do is to extend the prototype model. The results of this proposal should have some contribution on the theoretic studying of licensing.
