Project Details

Abstract

This project will be studied within two years. The study of modification of poly(vinyl alcohol) with polyelectrolyte materials, such as chitosan and crosslinking by glutaraldehyde will be developed in the first year. The alkaline membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs) will be fabricated by the polymer electrolyte membranes, which were prepared in the first year. In the second year, new Pt / graphene catalyst will prepared. Various analysis techniques will be used to characterize the composite polymer membrane structure, the physical and thermal properties, the ionic conductivity as well as methanol permeability of the as-prepared membranes.
