Abstract
Based on the global demand for an aging society, the growth of point of care tests will have an increase ratio more than 12%/year within 5 years in the forecast. To take ths future opportunities in medical care industry, this proposal is planned to realize medical care product with novel ideas and construct the channel of rapid prototying. In excuation, Chang Gung University, Chang Gung Memorial Hospital and companies in electronics, photoelectronics, intelligent wearable, and medical industry could be integrated into a compact and strong team, which is named as “Multidisciplinary Consortium in Creative idea of Medical Care”.The core of this proposal is based on the the meeting of discussion on unmet needs. Medical doctors and practicing medical personnel could provide the unmet needs in clinic and care for the product idea and direction in academia and industry members. Based on the partnership under this consortium, discussion could be easily focused on rapid prototyping and market demands. Achievements could be protoypes and clinical creativity increasing annually. Rapid prototyping could be easily and efficiently verified by the cowork between experienced professors and companies. In the meantime, more people could be trained by training courses, seminar and consultant for future production in the company.In real excuation, industrial member should pay the annual fee for free activities and process service. The profit of opened training course, seminar and discussion meeting of unmet needs and the overhead cost of rapid prototyping verification, project and technology transfer could be budget resource of this consortium for long-term and independent operation. Under two and half year efforts, “Multidisciplinary Consortium in Creative idea of Medical Care”, there are 18 industrial cooperation company members have joined. We have accumulated 1.125 million NTD membership fee income, 7 industry-university cooperation projects executed, 450,000 NTD technical service fee income, and 8.98 million NTD technology transfer income; all key performance indicators are ranked superior among the leagues. Through the efforts in the previous phase, this consortium has been gradually grow up to independently operate. In the next three years, we will continue to strengthen the technical service intensity, upgrade the technical service threshold, and strengthen alliance members to cooperate with medical clinical and world leading clinical medical industry members. We expect to attract more than 30 industrial cooperation company members to join us, and all key performance index can continue to grow. We will continue to assist in industrial upgrading as well. Finally, we can steadily promote the independent operation of the consortium.
