Abstract
近數十年來，全球的臨終病人使用加護病房照護日益增加，尤其在亞洲。然而，末期病人於加護病房接受臨終照顧，不僅無效益，更造成幾已無法永續負荷之醫療體系中醫療資源的浪費，更可能無法符合順應病患或其代理決策者對醫療照顧喜好或目標。因此，藉由高品質加護病房臨終照護目標的溝通，以提供符合病患或其代理決策者喜好的臨終照護，已成為提昇加護病房臨終照護品質之首要。考量臺灣醫療費用快速增長，此研究結果將可提供臨床提昇加護病房重症病人臨終照顧品質，避免提供與病患喜好不一致的無效照顧，進而反轉巨額醫療費用支出。
