Preparation of Transparent Conducting Oxide Thin Film Solar Cell Devices by Magnetron Sputtering Processes

Project: National Science and Technology CouncilNational Science and Technology Council Academic Grants

Project Details

Abstract

The objectives of this two year research project are to prepare different n-type and p-type transparent conductive oxide (TCO) thin films by magnetron sputtering and to combine these n-type and p-type TCO thin films to form TCO thin film solar cell devices. In addition, the effects of TCO material combinations, device designs, and sputtering processing conditions on the characteristics of TCO p-n thin film diode solar cell devices will also be investigated. It is hoped that the knowledge and the experience accumulated in these studies can lay foundations for the future development of TCO thin films and TCO transparent solar cells.
