Abstract
In the past 40 years, the SciMon played an important role in promoting popular science
in Taiwan. To celebrate the coming 40th anniversary of SciMon Society , this proposal will
collect literature and picture to review the event and influence of SciMon Society. As usual,
SciMon Society will conduct a popular science symposium in memoriam Dr. Chang CT who
served as a president of SciMon Society for more than a decade. Dr. Chang was one of highly
respected scientists who devoted a great of time in promoting popular science in Taiwan. In
this year symposium, we will focus on “Science Technology and Culture”. We have invited 6
speakers to give speech on art, culture, history and science relationship. The time is on May
30th (Saturday). The meeting will take place at international conference room of zhishan
jonior of National Taipei University of Education. Additionally, a pre-symposium for
warming up the 40th Anniversary of SciMon Society will be held on September 19th.
