Abstract

We are going to discuss that how a board of a hospital delegates to its professional hospital manager by using a strategic delegation contract in this two-year project. By using the spatial competition model, we are trying to explore the answers of the following questions. (1). What is the optimally strategic delegation contract for the board of a hospital? (2). How does a strategic delegation contract affect the regulated medical service price and the medical service quality if the strategic delegation contract is considered? (3). What are the optimally strategic delegation contracts for the non-profit board and the altruistic board of a hospital? (4) How does the competition between hospitals affect the medical service quality served by the hospitals if the strategic delegation contract is considered? In this project proposal, I explained the rationality, necessity, and possible contributions of this project in details.
