The Analyses of Specific and Ad Valorem Tax Policies in the Presence of Trade Policies

This project is a two-year project. There are two research topics in this project. The first one is to discuss the superiority between the specific and ad valorem tax policies under considering both commodity tax and import tariff. The second one is to discuss the superiority between the antidumping duty and the price undertaking policy under considering commodity tax. The related literature is also completely surveyed in detail in this proposal. We list and introduce the related studies in three fields, which are the comparison between specific and ad valorem tax, the comparison between specific and ad valorem import tariff, and the antidumping policies. We build up two prototype models to explain the methodology which we are going to do in this project.
