Abstract

In this project, we discuss the properties of channel estimation with 1-D linear interpolation filter in OFDM systems from the viewpoint of upsampling in discrete-time signal processing. We analyze the relations among magnitude frequency response of 1-D linear interpolation filter, channel impulse response and residual timing errors. The efficiency of 1-D linear interpolation will reduce when the maximum delay of channel impulse response is large and residual timing errors are present, so we propose a simple method to improve it. The efficiency of interpolation with the proposed method is improved from the bit error rate simulation in a simple example.
