Abstract

The goal of this project is to build a healthy, dignified and happy environment and enable the aged to slow down the aging process, lessen the incidence of illness, and lives happier. We focus on developing multiple devices for measuring balance, slowness and reaction time. These key performance indicators are applied to analyze body frailty and can hope early detect the status of frailty in order to delay the frail process of aged. We choose Chang Gung Health and Culture Village for setting up our systems. Formosa Plastics poured 10 billion NT dollars into this 34-hectare (340,000 m2) site to build the first full-scale community dedicated for senior citizens that will accommodate 4,000 households. There is a 24-hour service center and a nursing home in the village to provide medical attention whenever there is a need, with Tao-Yuan and Lin-Kou branches of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital standing by within 10-minute driving distance for comprehensive medical services.
