Abstract

According to the definition given by WHO, a high quality life of the aged means the aged have an entire well-being, namely besides a good physical functioning, they shall have healthy psycho-cognitive functioning and social functioning. Therefore, this study aims to construct an innovation service method based on the idea of high quality life of the aged and IT technology to provide a high-quality living environment for the aged, and then they could have healthy physiology, mind and social relations, so as to reach the effect of "aging slowly, slight disease and living well". The goal of this study is apply cloud computing technologies for health promotion. We try to build up an intelligent service platform to help elderly do the degeneration prevention. The whole project includes four topics: first we research and develop different environment and body sensor network to recode human behavior and indoor air quality. All data will be log and upload to cloud server. Second research topic is to develop cloud computing platform, this system includes middleware for data clearing and aggregating, intelligent software service for elderly degenerative trend analysis and indoor air quality analysis. Third aim is the study of key indicators about degenerative assessment. We evaluate not only elder physiology function, but also include cognitive and physical function. Finally the aim is the safe of cloud computing platform, we try to integrate the following four methods: (a) AAA server, (b) Cloud computing platform attack prediction, (c) Encryption, (d) digital right management. We choose Chang Gung Health and Culture Village for setting up our systems. Formosa Plastics poured 10 billion NT dollars into this 34-hectare (340,000 m2) site to build the first full-scale community dedicated for senior citizens that will accommodate 4,000 households. There is a 24-hour service center and a nursing home in the village to provide medical attention whenever there is a need, with Tao-Yuan and Lin-Kou branches of Chang Gung Memorial Hospital standing by within 10-minute driving distance for comprehensive medical services.
