社會方面：了解肝癌病人接受全身性化學治療藥物後免疫細胞及微環境機轉變化，並分析找出相關的biomarker, 以期對於治療和疾病監測甚至預防都有幫助，供醫療指引參考。
經濟方面：提供臨床醫師擬定肝癌個人化治療，選擇最適當的藥物治療，提高成本效益。
學術方面：闡明免疫細胞在肝癌微環境中和周邊血液間的關係，找出肝癌治療逆轉的途徑及其關鍵，並將成果出版於國際刊物。
