Abstract

金黃葡萄球菌為造成院內感染的主要病原菌之一,其具形成生物膜的能力,使治療更為棘手。生物膜的成熟是藉由多醣類黏菌素 (PIA),構成生物膜的基質。我們研究顯示PIA可能經Agr群聚感應系統而具有調控其它致病因子的功能,或是對宿主有致病性及影響免疫反應。藉由我們的研究,可以對金黃葡萄球菌的致病機轉有更多的瞭解及臨床應用,PIA也可做為抗菌製劑的標地,成為對抗多重抗藥性菌株的策略。
