A supine type elbow joint operation assisting device comprises a base mechanism, which can be secured to a frame of a sickbed. The main support frame comprises a ring mechanism attached thereto. The ring mechanism receives an arm to be received therethrough. The ring mechanism also comprises a hand bracket mechanism seat, a hand bracket mechanism, which is pivotally coupled to the hand bracket mechanism seat, a locker bolt, and a resilient element. The locker bolt can be tightened and thus compress the resilient element to bias a toothed disk of the hand bracket mechanism against a hole having a toothed surface, so as to ensure stability of angle adjustment of the hand bracket mechanism. The hand bracket mechanism further comprises a hand bracket that is pivotally coupled to a slide rack, which is allowed to do sliding motion for adjustment, but not rotating motion.
