Abstract
The inclination angle estimation method is implemented with the use of an electronic device. The electronic device comprises an accelerometer, an input unit and a processing unit. The accelerometer is used for sensing the acceleration in a specific direction to generate an acceleration reading value. The method is used for estimating an actual angle between a specific direction and a preset plane, and is inclusive of the processing unit used for receiving the maximum applicable error value larger than zero through the input unit; the processing unit obtaining a slope value according to the maximum applicable error value; the processing unit receiving the acceleration reading value from the accelerometer; and the processing unit obtaining an inclination angle estimation value according to the slope value and the acceleration reading value. The inclination angle estimation value and the acceleration reading value are in a linear relation, and the maximum value of the error angle is equal to the maximum applicable error value. The error angle is the difference value of the inclination angle estimation value minus the actual angle.
