Abstract
The present invention is to disclose an optical tracking apparatus and its positioning method, wherein the apparatus includes a plurality of light-emitting units, a plurality of image tracking units, the image processing unit, the analysis unit, and the calculation unit. The plurality of light-emitting units is correspondently disposed onto the carrier in geometric relationship and provides with a plurality of light sources. The plurality of image tracking units tracks the plurality of light sources and retrieves a plurality of images. The image processing unit carries out the image processing on the plurality of images to obtain the light-source image in each image corresponding to the plurality of light sources. The analysis unit analyzes the light-source image to obtain the position and the color corresponding to the plurality of light-emitting units. The calculation unit is to build up a plurality of three dimensional coordinates corresponding to the plurality of light-emitting units according to the position and the color, and to calculate the position of carrier according to the plurality of three dimensional coordinates.
