Abstract
A method for representing heart beat characteristic points and for determining physiological state of the heart by using sequence diagrams is disclosed, including first detecting a physiological state of the heart to generate a sequence line data, and then converting the sequence line data into sequence circle data so as to convert absolute values to relative values to remove the effect of heart rate changes (RR interval variation) on characteristic points (i.e., time points when specific events occur in a heartbeat cycle). The method can intuitively determine the physiological state of the heart based on the angle and the radius of the sequence circle (1. the length of the radius of the sequence circle indicates the heartbeat frequency; 2. large variation of the radius of the sequence circle indicates irregular heartbeats of an individual; and 3. each included angle with respect to a point R of the sequence circle indicates the time sequence of each characteristic point in the heartbeat cycle to eliminate misjudgments caused by determining the occurrence time of the characteristic point based on the absolute time value).
