Abstract
An interpretation device used for detection of middle ear effusion comprises an ultrasonic probe, an ultrasonic transceiver, an analog-to-digital converter and an analysis unit. The ultrasonic probe is attached to a user's ear at the rear corresponding to the mastoid as a window for non-intrusive measurement, and based on the middle ear effusion situation to produce an ultrasonic echo signal. The ultrasonic transceiver is connected with the ultrasonic probe to receive the ultrasonic echo signal. The analog-to-digital converter is connected with the ultrasonic transceiver to receive the ultrasonic echo signal for conversion into digital signal. The analysis unit is connected with the analog-to-digital converter, and based on the ultrasonic signal and/or probability density function that have been converted into digital signal to quantify middle ear effusion situation of the user.
