An image display method is suitable for stabilizing an image displayed at a display region of a portable display device and can be implemented using a process module. The image display method comprises the following steps: (A) controlling the portable display device to display the image in a sub-region of the display region; (B) estimating the displacement of the portable display device within the (N+1)th time unit in a first direction according to a displacement of the portable display device moving in a first direction detected by a displacement detection module within successive N time units; C) calculating a compensation displacement according to the estimated displacement and a default compensation parameter; (D) controlling the portable display device, relative to the display region, to move the sub-region compensation displacement in a second direction opposite to the first direction.
