Abstract
The present invention relates to a plasma marker for the detection of distal metastasis in colorectal cancer (CRC) patients using secretory gelsolin (pGSN). The present invention further provides polyclonal antibodies specifically against pGSN, but not cytoplasmic form of gelsolin, produced by using a pGSN-specific oligopeptide, which are applied to develop an ELISA method and/or kit for measuring the pSGN levels in CRC patients.
