An evaluation method and system for spatial recognition ability of dementia, including a touch control screen and a system implementation platform. The system implementation platform is equipped with a simulated water maze and data collection and analysis platform. The data acquisition and analysis platform includes a database. By this way, the tested person can take various tests inside the simulated water maze by using the control in the touch control screen. The tested data will be entered into the data collection and analysis platform. The data collection and analysis platform will compare the tested data with data inside the database so as to determine whether the tested person has dementia or not, and to determine whether the dementia is minor, medium, or serious. The test can be conducted without using any paper, and will not be affected or interfered by the education level of the tested person, moreover it does not need any assistance from professional personnel and all the testing can be finished in the shortest time.
