Abstract
This invention discloses a nanocarrier and a drug delivery system comprising the nanocarrier. The nano carrier comprises a metal oxide hollow nanosphere, wherein the metal oxide is selected from the group composed of the followings, CeO2, CuO, ZnO, NiO, AuO, Fe3O4, and the combination thereof; a plurality of adenosine A2A receptor antagonists grafted to the metal oxide hollow nanosphere; and a plurality of tight junction modulators. This invention also discloses that the drug delivery system can be used to treat and/or prevent ocular disorders.
