Abstract

This invention discloses a method for predicting whether a human subject with acute myocardial infarction will develop acute kidney injury, comprising: detecting the miRNA level in a blood sample taken from the human subject, the miRNA being selected from the group consisting of miR-23a-3p, miR-24-3p, miR-145-5p, and combinations thereof; and comparing the detected miRNA level in the blood sample with a predetermined standard, wherein the human subject is predicted to develop acute kidney injury if the detected miRNA level in the blood sample is lower than the predetermined standard.
