This invention provides a limb function assessment method. Measurement units, such as an accelerometer and a gyroscope, are disposed inside a sphere measuring apparatus, and a ball holding test, a ball throwing test, a ball receiving the test, a shooting test and a dribbling test are performed on a subject. The coordination of upper limbs and the coordination of lower limbs of the subject can be assessed. In addition, for the subjects with different conditions (such as children with mental retardation, patients with poor behavior due to diseases, general school children, and the like), it is possible to effectively compare differences in physical performance of the limbs of the subjects with different conditions.
