Abstract
A brain potential signal separation system and a method are disclosed. The system includes a linear predictor, a spike detector, a signal synthesizer and a spike extractor. When the spike detector detects a spike signal in a brain potential signal, the spike extraction is controlled to extract the spike signal. The linear predictor and a synthesis unit are utilized to estimate a synthesis signal for the spike. The spike can be separated from the brain potential signal to generate a sequential and steady brain potential signal.
