Disclosed herein is generally related to a pharmaceutical composition and uses thereof in treating dermatitis. According to the embodiments of the present disclosure, the pharmaceutical composition comprises an effective amount of individual ethanol extracts of one to three Chinese herbs, and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier, wherein the Chinese herbs are selected from the group consisting of the roots of Angelica dahurica, the roots of Lithospermum erythrorhizon, and the roots of Sophora angustifolia; and the individual ethanol extracts of the one to three Chinese herbs are produced by mixing the powdered roots of the one to three Chinese herbs individually with 95% ethanol (vol%) in a ratio of approximately 1:5 (w v) to 1:20 (w v), and processing the mixture at approximately 15-35°C for 1-10 days and at approximately 50-100°C for 0.5-5 hours.
