Abstract
The present invention provides a blood pressure measuring apparatus and method. By measuring the heart and artery to obtain a feature point and a blood flow pulse peak, respectively, and measuring a systolic pressure (using a blood pressure gauge), a blood flow pulse flow time can be calculated and, subsequently, a relative value of a blood pressure can be predicted by only using the blood flow pulse flow time. Accordingly, it is able to alleviate the problem that the health degree of a cardiovascular system cannot be known at any time because a conventional blood pressure gauge is generally incapable of continuously monitoring the blood pressure for a long time.
