Abstract
The disclosure provides a method for evaluating whether an individual with cancer is suitable for applying anti-cancer drugs. Wherein the anti-cancer drug is a CDK inhibitor. The method includes: (1) Detection of copy number of the first gene and the second gene from in vitro sample of an individual with cancer. Based on the copy number variations (CNV) of the first gene and the second gene, respectively, a ratio between the CNV of the first gene and the second gene is obtained [CNV ratio=CNV 1st gene/CNV 2nd gene]. Wherein the first gene encodes “cyclin” and the second gene encodes “cyclin dependent kinase inhibitor” (CDKN). (2) Evaluation of the CNV ratio of the two genes mentioned above to determine whether an individual with cancer is suitable for applying CDK inhibitor.
