Abstract
A nozzle adapted to water jet coupling agent is designed for inspection of high temperature workpiece in cooperating with a cooling coupling system of an industry-graded ultrasonic equipment. The method injects cold water or coupling agent capable of transmitting ultrasonic waves into the nozzle within the cooling coupling system continuously, so as to remove thermal energy from the surface of the high temperature workpiece. The coupling agent flowing in the nozzle of the coupling system may be kept to the room temperature through the water flow of the flow circulation, such that the workpiece under high temperature conditions can provide a temperature gradient between a heat exchanger and the high temperature workpiece. Further, the water jet of the coupling agent between the heat exchanger and the high temperature workpiece serves as a medium for transmitting ultrasonic waves, for transmitting the sound waves of the heat exchanger to the interior of the high temperature steel plates through the water jet medium using the water jet coupling agent so as to perform real-time high temperature ultrasonic inspection, to prevent from damaging the heat exchanger, to enhance manufacturing efficiency, and to reduce cost.
