Abstract
A fall-down detection and notification system includes a receiving module, a memory module, an image processing module, a database module, a fall-down picture member, a notification module, a human-machine interface module and a central processing module. The fall-down picture captured by the receiving module is processed by the image processing module. Then, the image-processed graph data under test is retrieved and compared with plural fall-down picture members pre-stored in the database module by a comparison algorithm. If the difference degree is smaller than a predetermined threshold after a continuous time comparison, it can be determined that an elder has been fallen down, and a message is transmitted to a remote medical site via the notification module for notifying the medical personnel of such. Therefore, when the elder is at a place where no other person resides, the present system is able to automatically detect the occurrence of fall-down accident, and notify the medical personnel by short messages as early as possible to proceed with subsequent medical process.
