Abstract
A senior community mobile security and fall detection system includes a plurality of photograph processing devices, a central server, and a plurality of handheld devices. Each photograph processing device has a camera, an embedded computer, and a speaker. The speaker is used for communication and broadcasting, and the camera is capable of storing live images. The embedded computer can perform image processing and a fall type recognition algorithm. The handheld device includes a menu, a window, and a call button. Through the menu, a user can select a certain camera channel for browsing, and watches the live images on the window. The images on the window can be updated at any time. The user is able to activate the handheld device to communicate in real time with the live scene by pushing the call button. Therefore, when a fall accident happens, it can be efficiently detected and properly handled.
