Abstract
人性問題是中國歷代思想家所關注的重要課題，人性究竟是善是惡，還是善惡相混？在儒家思想史上，曾經是個眾說紛紜的問題，韓愈文集之首有五篇以原字為題名的論文，世稱「五原」，五原的主旨在闡述和發揚儒家的基本思想，是探討韓愈思想的重要文獻之一；其中，(原性)一文是韓愈從哲學角度觀察人性問題的重要篇章。
The issues of human nature are the vital subjects which concern thinkers in every dynasty of China. Is human nature good or evil? Or is it the mixing of both of them? This used to be an issue about which the public opinions or views are diver- gent in the record of the Confucianists' ideologies. The best five articles of the collection of Han Yu's compositions are the dissertations titled in the word “analyse (yuan)”, and people called them “five analysis (wu-yuan)”. The theme of “wu-yuan” is to expound and advocate the basic ideologies of the Conf ucianists. It is one of the signif icant works to study HanYu's thoughts. “analysing the nature (yuan-shin)”, which is one of these works, is the important article. In this article, Hail Yu observes the issue of human nature through a philosophical point of view.
