Abstract
The present invention provides a method for manufacturing quaternary amine-blended alkaline polyvinyl alcohol polymers electrolyte thin membrane is characterized by dissolving hydrophilic polyvinyl alcohol and quaternary amine separately in a polar organic solvent, blending polyvinyl alcohol and quaternary amine together to obtain a viscous polymer solution; drying the polymer solution to obtain a membrane and then soaking the membrane in a basic metal alkaline solution and obtaining an electrolyte containing solid alkaline polymer electrolyte. The alkaline polymer electrolyte thin membrane of the invention provides with a good chemical stability, high mechanical strength, ionic conductivity, while used in zinc-air battery, it can improve the availability of zinc. The alkaline polymer electrolyte thin membrane can widely apply in energy storage device such as different types of alkaline battery system, alkaline fuel battery, and capacitor.
