Abstract

An effective energy-efficient uplink resource deployment method for OFDMA broadband wireless network comprises two stages. The first stage defines a reward function to evaluate and assign subchannels and symbol sets to mobile user ends. The function considers the diversity and fairness of user channels in order to use the least frame resource to satisfy data requirement of the user ends. When there is remaining resource available, the second stage will transfer data to appropriate subchannels and symbol sets by a data transfer method to reduce the transmission power of the user ends.
