Abstract

A better technique was designed to prevent distal cortical splitting in performing 232 closed femoral Kuntscher nailings. The key point was using a snug rigid guide wire with over-reaming of the marrow canal. With such a technique, closed femoral Kuntscher nailing can be performed securely.
